Memo to:	Customers, vendors and friends of Detroit Broach Company LLC

Subject:	Merger of Auburn Hills operations into Federal Broach

As you may know, Detroit Broach Company (Detroit Broach) and Federal Broach 
& Machine Company (Federal Broach) have operated as sister companies since 
late 2003.  As part of our long term strategy to maximize efficiencies, we 
have decided to merge the business operations of Detroit Broach’s Auburn 
Hills facility into Federal Broach. 

This decision does not affect Detroit Broach’s tool making and service 
operations in Greer, South Carolina in any way.  The Greer operation will 
continue to operate under the Detroit Broach Company name, with the 
existing leadership and employees without change.  Detroit Broach’s Auburn 
Hills facility is the only location merging into Federal Broach. 

Effective with the date of this letter, Detroit Broach’s Auburn Hills 
facility is being renamed “Federal Broach & Machine Company – Detroit 
Service Center” (Detroit Service Center).  The Detroit Service Center 
facility will continue with its current product focus – broach tool 
sharpening services and replacement parts sales for broaching machines 
manufactured by Detroit Broach Company.

All machine manufacturing operations, including rebuilding broaching machines
manufactured by Detroit Broach Company and building new machines to existing 
Detroit Broach Company designs will be performed in the Federal Broach & 
Machine Company facility in Harrison, Michigan.   

Effective immediately, customers are asked issue purchase orders placed with 
the Detroit Service Center facility in the name of Federal Broach & Machine 
Company.  Existing purchase orders expected to be completed prior to 
December 31, 2007 will be completed and invoiced under the name of Detroit 
Broach Company.  For purchase orders expected to be completed after 
December 31, 2007, we will work with customers to convert the purchase orders 
from Detroit Broach to Federal Broach.  


Effective January 1, 2008, all of the Detroit Service Center operations will 
be conducted under the name of Federal Broach.

We are also pleased to announce that Len Spear has been named Plant Manager 
of the Detroit Service Center.  Len has more than thirty years of service 
with Detroit Broach and is uniquely qualified to support and lead the tool 
sharpening and parts sales product lines.  Please join us in congratulating 
Len on this new assignment.
